London Care Solutions have access to emergency accommodation and a team of experienced staff who can provide tailored packages of care or supervision.

We are often asked to provide accommodation and outreach programmes – combined with intensive supervision – to enable courts to have an alternative to remand, custodial and secure placements. We are used to providing our services alongside the provisions of any supervision order or licence and are able to meet the requirements of the Youth Justice Board’s Intensive Supervision and Surveillance Programmes (ISSPs).

ISSPs require a high level of supervision (25 hours per week), combined with appropriate outreach work. London Care Solutions have trained staff available to assist local Youth Offending Teams by providing outreach staff who can offer a consistent, high level of supervision.

London Care Solutions staff have considerable experience of acting as adult advocates to the young people on ISSPs. Their training and personal attributes make them highly suitable for this work which requires:

• A non-judgemental attitude
• A solid grasp of the culture of the youth concerned
• A determination to help and work co-operatively with all parties
• The ability to encourage or guide the youth away from negative attitudes and behaviours
