No control, no choices - a downward spiral

Young people who have been excluded from school often feel that they have little control over their lives, without the opportunities that school and education offer; they can get caught in a downward spiral, unable to make Choices that would send them in a direction that would make the future more positive.

Many young people who are having problems at school and are heading towards exclusion often feel the same way. For whatever reason, they have given up on the education system and feel it has nothing to offer them. Again, the opportunities available to their peers are often withdrawn, leaving them with no Choices to make, unsure where to turn and unable to take responsibility for their lives.

Choices is a new programme devised by London Care Solutions to cater for the needs of young people who have been excluded from school or who are likely to be excluded in the near future.

Choices is an innovative and imaginative programme that enables these young people to realize their full potential, make decisions and take control of their own lives.
